Question about hair paints and gels.

OK this is actually a question. My son has been wanting a red fohawk. Obviously as he's 5 I don't want to dye his hair. I know they make different hair paints and gels, but I honestly don't know which ones to buy or which ones work the best. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I want something easy to put in and easy to wash out. I have given my son a fohawk several times using Suave kids styling gel, and that's super easy to wash out, but I have yet to use anything with actual color.

Have you ever heard of a hair chalk? It's designed specifically for hair. Some people who don't have that much money buy the ordinary coloured chalk as an alternative but I wouldn't try that at all as it's not as pigmented as the real hair chalks you can buy. I forgot the brand though but I have found a lot on the toy store for kids. They easily wash off and they won't damage your child's hair at all.

@jstory07 Yeah, I've just been debating. I've done a lot of searching, but wasn't fully sure how well any of it worked. I'd probably have to order online as we don't have many options where I live. I don't know if our walmart sells it, I do know walmart online does though.

I think it would be best that you let it be done at the hair salon . That way , they will give you advise and learn from it so next time , you know and might do it yourself .

My sister is a beautician and cuts his hair, but she just said hair paint, she never really gave me specifics. She seemed to think whatever would be fine, but I think she forgets that I don't like putting in a whole lot of extra effort, not to mention a lot of places around here won't do it as they don't have the temporary stuff. They usually just use dye and highlights.
