We Filipinos have so many superstitious belief. When I was young, my mom told me, that if we said something negative, we should knock on wood three times so that such negative things won't happen or good things will come. I still do it until today. Well, maybe there's nothing wrong if we believe on any superstition sometimes. Do you believe on a superstitious belief? Tell me about it.

My mom said knock on wood a lot and then she would do it. It was to show that she hoped something would not happen.

I don't really believe it, but I knock on wood, don't walk under ladders, like black cats, and don't like single magpies etc.

My mom also used to throw salt over her shoulder. I never could figure out what that was all about.

I don't particularly believe that it would prevent something bad from happening but I still do it since there is really no harm done in doing so. :)
