The Associated Press reports the news on Thursday the San Antonio Spurs have signed former Chicago Bulls center and forward Pau Gasol, 36, to a two year, $30 million dollar contract. With the retirement of Tim Duncan this week after he played 19 seasons in the National Basketball Association, the Spurs have signed Gasol who wanted to play for a team that is contention to win another National Basketball Association championship before he retires. Gasol was a first round draft choice of the Atlanta Hawks in the 2001 National Basketball Association Draft. The Hawks traded Gasol to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Gasol has played in the National Basketball Association with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2001-2008, the Los Angeles Lakers from 2008-2014 and the Chicago Bulls from 2014-2016 before he signed his two year deal with the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Gasol has two NBA Championship rings as a member of the 2009 and 2010 Los Angeles Lakers teams.

Don't like the Spurs, but I'll root for Pau.

I am not a fan of the Spurs either but they are a class team in the league.

And Manu has resigned for $14 million. The Spurs have lost Duncan, David West, Boris Diaw and that 7'7" Russian center and add just 35-year-old Gasal and that's going to keep up with GSW?
