Rotowire reports the news the Chicago White Sox have activated from the 15 day disabled list former Colorado Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau. Morneau who has played 13 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Colorado Rockies since he made his debut in 2003 became a free agent at the end of the 2015 baseball season when he only played 49 games due to an injury to his elbow that required surgery last December. The White Sox signed Morneau to a one year, $1 million dollar contract on June 9, 2016. Morneau had played two games for the Birmingham Barons which is the AA minor league team of the White Sox and eight games with the Charlotte Knights which is the AAA minor league team of the White Sox on a rehabilitation assignment before he joined the White Sox on Friday. To make room for Morneau on the White Sox 25 man roster, the White Sox demoted outfielder Jason Coats to the Charlotte Knights.

Interesting to see if Morneau can revive his career in Chicago.
