Gone are the days when people are happy together planting in the farm fields. Farmer is flowing the muddy and some are planting simultaneously in the field. The tradition has it that there were even singing farmer with the guitar, there are singing and then they eat together under the shed of the lone big tree in the middle of the farm. Today, the technology killed the traditions. The workers now are tractors, motorized rice planters, and other farm equipment that brought easy work for the farmer. But those days, so simple and happy.

no, but I would really want to experience it again. You know, the simple living, the way we were. The serene environment, pristine nature.

I am more worried about this question "Where are the rice fields" You know rice fields are being turned into malls and residential areas. This could lead to food shortages.

it's okay if it's motorized now, as long as our country still have actual fields to plant rice in.

I learned last year only that we actually had a rice plantation, but unfortuantely we don't go there and see the farm. there are more people now a days, and if i could only win the lottery i could have my grandma's land filled with vegetables and fruits.

I was thinking that it is only Indians who are appreciating the pre-technology days. But, everywhere in the world in all most all countries, people are appreciating the olden days. They are hating the changes the industrial revolution has brought in . If everybody is hating this technological development why should we accept and welcome it?

Actually its not hating the modern marvels of farming, its just missing of the tradition of good old days of farming.

I miss those days. I grew up in the province and within our compound, there are rice fields. Even the lot in front of our house used to be rice fields, but now, they are not planted anymore. I had even tried planting rice when I was small. Hihi
