A few days of vacation

My dad has a little cottage type house near the Six Flags in N.Y. so my kids and I spent Wednesday, Thursday and today there. There was no wifi so I bet you all here at my lot missed me.
I followed my dad up to the house. It was around 4 hrs after stopping to eat Breakfast and use rest stops.
Thursday was stormy so we spent the day shopping in souvenir shops.
Today I left about 3 pm to come home. We hit two traffic jams so it was a longer ride home.
I have most everything unpacked and put away. Tomorrow I have a party to go to in upstate NY. I can't wait.

It was very nice. I am so happy for all we have gotten to do the past few days that my kids were able to experience. I love making memories with them. It sure feels good to be home though. The house is a disaster I have a lot to do today to get it back in order.
A bunch of boxes came from AMZreviewtrader while I was gone so testing and reviewing is on the to do list. I also got a package from Smiley360 and two from Crowdtap.

@infatuatedbby It is good that I take a break from the AMZreviewtrader after a month. I get overwhelmed by the end of it. While I was away I got about 10 things in the mail. I have only had time to test and review two. I did read a blog by AMZreviewtrader and we are actually supposed to test things out for 10 days before leaving a review. If we leave a review before 3 days then our review count gets wiped off the tier... that is why my numbers have gone down at times. Good information to know since sellers pretty much beg us to leave a review the day after it arrives.

Everyone needs a vacation once in awhile.
I go to staycations myself. I just hole up in a nearby hotel, take a dip in their pool, and just lounge around. I feel recharged after these short staycations of mine!

@shaggin here in Manila, staycation refers going on a vacation without leaving the city. Hotels offer these staycation packages.

We had a nice time as always! I am so glad we were able to attend this year. It has been 3 or 4 years since the last time we were able to go.

Wow, that sounds like fun. We live about an hour away from Kings Island, but the cost to get in is too high, so we rarely go there.

oh, i nearly envy ya bein' able to go'n spend that time there. i'd love to get 'way fer a few days :D been a long time since i've been anywhere. glad'ja made't home safe'n sound. enjoy yerself't that party.

This was the first vacation I have been on in over 10 years. It is also the first time in 13 years I have been back to this particular vacation town. The last time I was there my husband was with me, my parents and my nephew was a baby. I was pregnant with my daughter. It was bittersweet being back there.
