It is not that I do not like him. The way he treated his parents has really pinched me.He was my only close friend. A Muslim. How can he treat his parents like that? When they were alive they requested me to convince him, I could not get any opportunity. They (parents) were not poor. They were quite well of. They were well off and living on their own. What all they needed was the affection of their son, which was defined to them in their old age. So mercilessly closed his friendship. I did not want a friendship built with a wall of hypocricy

Maybe you should have tried to find out why he was keeping his distance from his parents?

Now, he came out in true colors. What his parents were telling was right.

You can tell a lot about a person from the way they treat their parents. It was one of the things that attracted me to my husband when I first met him - his love for, and care of his parents.

@shivamani10,If he can't be a son,how can he be a friend? If he didn't discharge his duty towards his parents, how would he be a true friend of yours. One who can't love one's parents can't love one's friend.
