Pokemon Go: Servers Down

I think it has come to a point where too many people are playing this new app that we can't play without the servers giving up on us once in a while. I'm a bit frustrated with it at the moment as I have become terribly hooked to it. Do you encounter the same issues with some apps you use?

Pokemon Go is a very popular game and it seems that the whole world is crazy about it. So it can be understanding that the servers are down for a while. I think this is only a temp problem. Unfortunately I can't even try to play this game as it is not available in my country yet.

Heyya it's very popular indeed. That being said, I think they should do something about the server issue otherwise they'll lose the momentum.

I am not a Pokemon Go player, but I have been reading it quite a lot online lately. I guess the company that developed Pokemon Go app did not think that it would become so popular, hence the server could not take it. Hope they will get a much more powerful server to support the players. Enjoy the game!

Yeah it was an overwhelming response. They'd get much money from this app if they are able to keep up with public demands. I'm surprised how late they made this app. I grew up watching pokemon and after years and years finally someone thought of making an app for it.

@flapiz I wonder whose idea it is. It's brilliant, though I am not a big fan of Pokemon and I actually never watched or play Pokemon before.

@kaka135 It is brilliant. It appeals to my childhood. And it's still an ongoing movie show so it appeals to the younger generation as well.

Maybe they are upgrading their server because of too many users.

If this continues I think the players will stop playing. Hmmm why do map datas make the server go down? Educate me :)

Yeah, I was working on hatching an egg when they went down this morning. Pretty irritating that we can't do some things offline... Not all of us stay connected all the time!
