Pepper Rasam a nice dish which can cure cold and cough

Since yesterday I was not feeling well. After taking some tabs though I got some relief still I am uncomfortable. Gave a serious thought to it. Suddenly Pepper Rasam has come to my mind. So immediately prepared it for my lunch which is really great in taste . Whenever anybody feels cough and cold it is the dish that can give great relief.
preparation :
Take a pan and heat it. When it is hot add 2 tbs oil. Put two cut red chillies. just heat them. Add 1 tbs mustard seeds. When they splutter add two slit green chillies and add curry leaves generously. Add a pinch of hinge . After heating for 2 minutes add 1 cup of Tamarind juice. Allow it to a simmer. When it simmers nicely, add 1 1/2 cup water. Do everything in a medium flame with the top closed.
Now take 1/2 cup black pepper in a pan and heat them for a minute. Add 1 tbs cumin seeds. just heat them for a minute. Take them into a stone grinder and make a fine powder of it. You can add coriander (chopped) also
Now add this mixture of black pepper to the liquid which is simmering in a closed container. Allow it for one more minute and switch off the stove.
Your pepper Rasam is ready. A great dish to enjoy during winter and rainy season. you can have this as a soup also.

This is very good in monsoon and winter season. Looks like you are from Andhra/Telangana. I am from Hyderabad and we eat this regularly..
