Not Much Sleep

I got ready for bed last night and noticed there was an awful smell in the house. A skunk was somewhere in our yard. It was so strong I know it must have been close to one of the windows in my bedroom. Smells don't bother my husband. He went right to sleep, but I lay there a long while uncomfortable and finally got up and went to sleep in the recliner in the living room where the smell wasn't as strong.

I have never seen a real skunk in my life, but online only. I used to hear people say that skunks steal chickens and eat them. So if you have chickens, you will have to make sure that they are safe in their cage.

We don't have any chickens. I think the neighborhood dogs scare them sometimes and they come into my yard to hide in the bushes. Count your blessings if you have not had to smell any skunks.
