Growing Up, But Not Old

I was always told, you're as old as you feel. I kind of believe that, my grandmother has the heart of a 25 year old but is about to be in her 70's. She is an amazing woman, and very wise.
I think with growing up, it is very traumatic experience on its own because there's so much learn in this world and about yourself. I love it when I see older people enjoying life as if they never aged. It brings me hope, knowing that after all of the hard times there's still some joy that can inspire.
I hope that I am like that when I get older, but I also think it depends on your point of view and attitude about life. Sometimes you have to have a little rain for a rainbow, and we have endured so much rain, it's time for the rainbow to shine brighter than it ever has before.
Remember, life is not permanent and neither are the situations that are difficult. All of it could end at any second of any day, so enjoy it while you have it. I seem to forget this fact most of the time, but I am starting to remind myself more and more so I don't drown under the impression that things won't get better.
We all will have a good life through all of the stormy weather, as long as we choose to see it that way.
