A roaster of a day - but I've done a lot so far.

It's 109 or so today in Tucson. Still, I feel like I accomplished something. I talked to my favorite bank teller about the advisability of processing withdrawals before deposits, learned a little more about how the deposit system works, and talked her out of one of the two overdraft fees. So that was good. I went to work, did four hours of overtime, and had a pretty good experience. I also found out that one of my favorite forums is moving to a new platform so I managed to back up about half my stuff. Not bad, because I have a WHOLE lot of stuff. I'm especially glad not to lose my "inspiration" thread and my "gratitude" thread. Those have helped me a lot. Afterwards, I went to Home Depot and got some but repellent, which is less needed now that bug season is waning but is still nice to have. I also got six gallons of drinking water and a sports drink to help me on the drive home. With temperatures like this, I need to have sports drink, coconut water or something like it or I get awful muscle cramps. It's the potassium. Now I'm home, preparing to write another blog entry for my main site, and looking forward to the rest of my weekend.

I keep pondering making my own sports drink.

That might be good. There are recipes you can get. Some say a mixture of sugar, salt, and baking soda in water. But I would also want a source of potassium because that's what I'm so seriously lacking. Powdered Gatorade or Pedialyte seems to be a pretty economical option. Coconut water is AWESOME but not cheap unless you find it on sale.

@Rohvannyn I just wish there was a sugar free powdered option in bulk.Hubby uses the powdered gatorade, and I get the sugar free poweraid in single use packets. I dont go through as much, and it's cheaper than buying it ready to drink at least

@Jessicalynnt That's true. I'm trying to think out a way to make a sugar free sports drink - you could probably sweeten it with stevia. A person would still include a little sugar with it for medical reasons unless you eat a piece of fruit with it.

That's for sure! Parts of me, at least, are already golden brown.
