The Case Manager is Done

I fired her and left a message for her boss requesting a new case manager yesterday. I had tried to arrange a meeting between her, her boss, and myself for next week. I had already come to the decision, contrary to what I posted last time, that I was going to part ways with her anyway but I wanted a chance to let her know what I thought of her behavior. Then as I was on the train to Chicago on Thursday, she decided to call me and threaten to drop me as a client! Yep, you read that right. After her outburst last month and her admitting to deleting my voicemail about a week ago without even listening to it - she threatened me. She also brought up a topic which both myself and her supervisor had told her to stop discussing with me! This lady is a piece of work. I left her supervisor a message saying I want to be transferred to a case manager who can control her temper and is more professional.

That's fantastic news! I'm so sorry that it's necessary, but the way that she's been behaving has been utterly unprofessional. I hope that the new case manager you're assigned to will be the complete opposite. Will you be filing an official complaint about her, too, or just leaving it as it is once you're assigned a different case manager?

I let her supervisor know what happened. I get the feeling her supervisor has only heard awful things about me though, so is on her side however.

@Lolaze Now that's a load of bull. I don't care who you are or what your diagnosis is... you still deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, especially by the people who are supposed to be helping you.

@yukimori If I can find any proof of it, I'll be filing an official complaint. Finding that proof will probably be hard though.

I hope the replacement is better and you get the care you need.

I think just about anyone will be an improvement over the last one!

That sounds like a good thing that you fired her.

Nobody deserves bad service, good for you! Is it me or do some folks bring their own personal drama/trauma to the workplace?

I don't blame you I had a similar situation a long time ago. Sometimes you have to do what is best for you. I wish you the best.
