No Metallica for me

Just thought I would share the very sad news. A few months ago I bought Metallica/Avenged Sevenfold tickets for way too much money. But it was going to be amazing - this special tour AND Ive never seen Metallica live.
I just found out work denied my vacation requests due to "staffing" or lack thereof. And that means Ill be working 10-8 the day of and after.
Just wanted a place to rant. Dang work!! Have you ever seen Metallica live?

I suppose you can't get away with a sickie? You can't make it to the concert after work?

I was debating calling in sick, but I worry that my managers all know I was trying to get this very day off for that purpose. Could they "prove" that I wasn't sick? Probably not, not really, but I would feel so guilty about it (dang it, conscience!). My schedule is 1030 AM to 830 pm and after commuting time, I'd probably get to the concert over 4 hours late. Lol. So I am thinking about just selling the ticket and being done with it. I wish I could go though! I hear great things about Metallica live. You ever seen them?

@maezee No I have never seen Metallica live. You may as well sell the ticket and recoup your cost.
