Tumblr Help Desk - Great for a Sounding Board!

A friend of mine once told me if I ever needed to shout it out, use him as a sounding board. He'll let me get everything off my chest. Definitely appreciated the invitation although I never made use of it. Oh no! Either I yell and scream at whoever provoked me or I don't say anything at all. That's my rule! Yeah but … sometimes … and it's very embarrassing … I break the rule. I spout off at the wrong party and then have to go back and eat my words. I think the Tumblr Help Desk has me marked. When they receive a message and see my name and Tumblr blog, they must go: “Don't worry about this lady. She's just barking. Give her a couple of days and she'll write back that she fixed the problem herself.” I feel so stupid. It happens! The other day one of my blogs was giving me fits. The page wouldn't load. I even got kicked out of the system because my account reflected “unusual activity”. Oohhh!!! GRRR … !! Ever watch Yosemite Sam and Bugs Bunny? Then you know Yosemite Sam's recurring line. “Ooooh! I hate that rabbit!” Don't know what the problem is with the webpage but I'm getting angrier and angrier!! Pulling my hair out! What's wrong?! The site was fine a day ago! I didn't do anything!! I just woke up! Why is it screwing up like this??!! GRRRRR …!! So … since I knew it wasn't me … then … it had to be them! Right? Who is “them”?? Don't know. But it's always ME against the Invisible Them!! At any rate, I contact the Tumblr Support. Spit out my frustration AT Them. They respond by sending me an acknowledgment of receipt of my message and telling me nicely they'll try to get to it within 24 hours. I end up fixing my own problem (once I've calmed down). Then I have to write back and tell them: “Never mind. It's all good. And uuuhhh … Sorry!” The Help Desk always responds back, to the effect: “No problem. If you ever need help, we're here to help.” I'm like: Drat! I always end up looking like an idiot and having to apologize TO Them!' (Sigh.) Guess they don't mind me using them as a sounding board.
