Now It Feels Good!

It has finally cooled down some outside. I am sitting out on the deck and it feels great. The heat today was like yesterday, very hot and humid. We did get relief by swimming. Now, it feels good just being able to sit out and it's warm but not too hot and enjoy the outdoors. I love watching the lightening bugs at night. It is so peaceful at night sitting outside. Does anyone else like to sit outside at night?

Surprisingly, we had no afternoon thunderstorms today and very little humidity here in north Florida, which made it a hot--but bearable--day. I got outside and went for a walk around sunset...it was absolutely gorgeous! I love sitting outside in the evening, especially when I can get a fire going. Little too hot for a fire right now, but the tiki torches on the deck will suffice!

@moffittjc Atleast you had a bearable day. Glad you got out and had a nice walk. I like sitting around a fire also but I agree the tiki torches will have to work because I am not adding no more heat!

@melissa1024 Not only are tiki torches a good summer substitute for fire, but they also help keep the mosquitoes away! Here in Florida, we have a slight mosquito problem in the summer! lol
{there's a reason why they are the unofficial "state bird" of Florida! LOL}

@moffittjc LOL Yes, they are good to keep the mosquitoes away! You're right they are a good substitute for fire. With this heat you'd have to be out of your mind to want to sit by a fire and add more heat!

I do. I like the night breeze and staring at the stars and the moon. It relaxes my eyes.

Are lightening bugs fireflies? Lightening bug sounds nice!
I think it's nice to sit outside at night or in the early morning, as the day is so warm, and the morning and night time are more cooling. I am staying in tropical country, so we have these hot and humid weather all year long.

@kaka135 Yes, lightening bugs are fireflies. Yes you are correct it is very nice to be outside early morning or at night when it is cooler. You poor thing you have to deal with this year round. Of course we only has this a few months out of the year. I think the winter is the worst season though because dealing with the ice and snow. I would much rather deal with the heat.

It was 105 here in SC toady. The humidity is the worst! We don't get lightning bugs.
