Boredom

bored, boredom,

When I was growing up I was told that being bored was a choice, but I always argued saying that it was a feeling because I felt bored. I was too young to really know the difference, but now that I am older I can honestly see it as being both. I see it as a choice because you can choose to do something and get out of that funk, but you also could feel bored while doing something because nothing seems interesting at that time. What do you consider boredom, and how do you deal with it?

Sometimes when you feel bored, you just don't feel like doing anything.

I usually try to find something to do to take my mind off of being bored. Other times, which isn't often, I just let boredom be cause maybe it means I need to sit and rest a bit.

I have been played by boredom and restlessness all my life and sometimes my "bag of tricks" fail. You can be bored even when super busy. It's all about the mind.
