"You don't like being told what to do."

I was told this very thing just a few days ago and they are 100 percent correct. I suppose it is something I should not be proud to admit but proud to admit it I am. Now of course I realize there are times when given advice or instruction is paramount, but that doesn't mean I shall take it gracefully. I am especially exasperated by those who tell me things I already know. It could be very trivial things, nothing to get aggravated about... but I do. I guess you could say I am very stand offish. I like my peace and quiet and am not one to (other than perhaps online) talk for the sake of it. Niceties are all well and good, and sometimes are even welcome, but I prefer chattiness to just not exist. Again, I guess this is why I come off as stand offish. I apologize if I come across that way, but honestly it's mostly because I am deep within my own head and wish not to be disturbed. Too bad I can not wear a "do not disturb" sign on me at all times... Would be worth the investment methinks... Do you not like being told what to do? I've been this way my whole life.

People should understand that others also have got their brains and have the ability to decide themselves.

It's more a fact that most people around me seem to state the obvious. I find it really boring!

I guess there are times when I DO want to be told what to do - for instance, if I really am out of my depth. In such cases, I'll ask for advice. Otherwise, I'll decide for myself!
