The weekly golf tournament is up in the air at the moment. It's hot and there's rain just west of town, so we may or may not play. But for now let's forget that. It's time for another one of my favorite songs by the great John Hiatt. #9: Buffalo River Home As usual, I listen to this song, with a great beat and terrific sound, and wonder what I am missing. I think this should've been a big hit, but then I don't work for a record company. And, as I would tag this as a "pick to click" and nobody's so much as covered it and turned it into a hit, I guess it's a good thing I dn't work for a record company! There's no message in this song, it's just a terrific tune. Even the best songwriters can take a break from deep, philosophical meanings.
