Thomas Harding reports the news on Wednesday the Colorado Rockies have placed their right handed relief pitcher Jason Motte on the 15 day disabled list with a strain on his right shoulder. Motte stared the 2016 baseball season on the 15 day disabled list starting on April 3, 2016 with a strain of his right shoulder that sidelined him until he was activated from the disabled list on May 25, 2016. The Rockies have called up left handed relief pitcher Chris Rusin from their AAA minor league team the Albuquerque Isotopes on Wednesday to replace Motte on the Rockies 25 man active roster. Rusin had been placed on the 15 day disabled list with a strain of his left shoulder on June 14, 2016. The Baltimore Orioles will be hosting the Rockies in the final game of a three game series at Camden Yards in Balitmore on Wednesday.

Now that Tulo is gone, someone has to keep the DL list warm.

Looks like an injury riddled write off of a season for Motte.

Jason Motte is one of the most entertaining relief pitchers in the game of baseball when he is healthy.
