ESPN.com reports the Los Angeles Rams have released quarterback Nick Foles on Wednesday. Foles who was traded by the Philadelphia Eagles to the then St. Louis Rams before the start of the 2015 football season for the services of Rams quarterback Sam Bradford started nine games for the Rams leading them a to record of four wins and five losses before he was replaced by quarterback Case Keenum for the remainder of the regular football season. Foles did not appear at the Los Angeles Rams offseason workouts after the Rams drafted University of California quarterback Jared Goff as their first round draft choice in the 2016 National Football League Draft. Foles had signed a two year, $24.5 million dollar contract before the start of the 2015 football season. Foles is now a free agent that can seek employment with another team in the league that will be needing his services before the start of training camp. Foles saw the writing on the wall that his days with the Rams were numbered when Goff will appear to be the quarterback of the Rams future.
