I know election is already gone and now we have our President. But I still want to express my reactions towards the supporters of President Duterte during the campaign period. I actually respect everybody's decision of choosing the leader which they believe who is deserving. We have different political opinions and highest values for us to choose who should we trust to lead the country. I am seeing some of my classmates, friends, batchmates, relatives and other acquaintances regarding their reasons of why they want President Duterte to become the leader of a country. In my understanding they want President Duterte because of how he governs in Davao especially in terms of crimes, safety of everybody, cleanliness of environment, some tourists were totally impress about Davao City in which they believe President Duterte can bring this kind of governance to entire Philippines. When it was announce that he will run as a President there were so many people became too excited during the campaign and even relieve that he is the solution to the problems of the whole nation. But in my dismay there are some supporters who transformed into die hardly fanatics until they became violent to non supporters of President Duterte, cursing that if they want to be murdered, raped, robbed if they dislike Duterte or if they don't want safety to their place if they wouldn't vote for Duterte. More so they are glorifying him as Messiah like a superman who will be the perfect solution to the entire Philippines. They talk like a Philippines will be heavenly Paradise under Du30 administration. And disliking Duterte is like a big sin or a blasphemy especially if you prefer Mar Roxas to vote instead of their idol. All of it just became fanaticism and no sense of constructive criticism. For that there are some supporters or I even call them as Dutertard that I cannot give respect. I even read one post of one of my batchmate during the election that the voters of Mar Roxas should think just because he wasn't able to follow the rules of COMELEC when he was in precint in comparison to Duterte that he instructed that there should be no media people inside while he was voting. I didn't bother to comment on that person as I don't want to stoop down on her level but she must be educated enough that we all have different preferences in choosing the leader and must respect other's decision. I just totally find it weird when Duterte won, they keep on bragging about his victory when they themselves didn't even bother to CHANGE into better citizen yet they are the ones who were not following the rules. Unfortunately some supporters were already killed during buy bust operation since they are suspected drug pushers. We can see it on TV and social medias who were killed with their baller of Duterte. Now that their idol is the President in the Philippines, since they are the ones who were begging for CHANGE as they always say Change is Coming then all of us should CHANGE into a better citizen. I believe we should all follow the rules especially when it comes to cleanliness so that it won't cause flood and pollution.
