A serious thunderstorm.

I live in the midwest of the United States, specifically near Chicago, Illinois, and we just had a major thunderstorm! My sisters and I saw cracks of lightning from behind our house, and we were really scared that something in our backyard would be struck! The rain came down fast and hard, and after a while the sky turned yellow. This was around 2 pm. Not even 20 minutes later, the storm was over, just to return with just as much intensity about ten minutes ago. Although the storm has ended again, the sky is still overcast. Weather in this area can be so fickle, going from 0 to 100 and right back again.
