Real alarm clocks when your dreaming

Not sure how else to title this. Have you ever been dreaming when your clock goes off but you dream that it's something else? I hate it. It makes me late and I've tried everything. Anybody else had this problem and how do you fix it?

Does your clock have an alternative alarm sound to the one that plays/rings now? I've had that problem when I get used to a particular alarm, so I've changed the sound to something different.

It does but it seems to never fail that when I change it my dream and the way I interpret it changes also. Sigh. I've started setting a alarm for every two min or so.

@Jot2me Goodness, that is a problem. Whenever I have that issue, I usually haven't gotten much rest, or it hasn't been quality sleep. If you experience that, you could look into ways to improve your rest. There are a lot of articles on the internet about that. Some are more legit than others. Here's one from WebMD: I've tried to incorporate some of their advice into my sleep habits. In any case, I hope you can find a solution. It's a headache to run late in the mornings.
