It's Never Too Late To Learn Something New

This is one of my “Challenge” topics. I’ve accepted my own challenge, to write something from a list of topics that I came up with recently. I don’t know if you saw the challenge on here or not. Some mylotters were saying that they couldn’t think of anything to write about, so I came up with this list. I don’t know who has accepted the challenge, but I was hoping that they would tag me, when they wrote something. This was one of the topics on the list so I’m writing on this subject today. It’s easy to do for me, because I am technologically challenged anyway, so I’m really ALWAYS learning something new online. Since joining myLot, I have learned how to do a lot of different things. First, I learned how to navigate this site and to put up my personal photos from my computer and then I learned how to take photos with my iPad and put those up on myLot. Then, I learned how to use Pixabay for photos and I LOVE that option. More recently, I learned to how to attach links to various articles about a variety of subjects that pertain to articles that I write. I continue to learn new things about different countries and cultures, either by reading articles on myLot from others or by doing my own research for an article I want to contribute. What is something NEW that you have learned recently?

@crazyhorseladycx Well, I do hope that you will be OK. I always think about the tetanus shot because of the danger that COULD exist any time that the skin is broken.

I didn't see the list yet but I liked this topic. Good idea to go down a list and write about it. It's true we can always learn new things. I think recently I've learned that I can write anything I wish. Some things I might write might not be popular but they can still be written. I'm happy about that.

Yes, the number of topics that we can write about is huge. So, I try to find as many different things as I can to write about. I have yet to a day where I have nothing to say. LOL

me too @IreneVincent I have an inner child that keeps interrupting. However, I can see the advantage of having a good list and things we want to write about. This was a good idea!

@Bluedoll I like having a list that I can go back to if I have an off day or "writer's block" I guess they call it.

@IreneVincent I love Pixabay. I learned that cleaning your browser history helps your computer to stop freezing up.

@IreneVincent on my computer I went to the top right where it said 'more' and pressed the button. I looked at the drop down list and saw 'clean browser history' and pressed that. That's it.

I know I have to be more inquisitive on technology and computer issues. I learn something new only when I have to. I know the basics to get by but then I don't keep up with the latest developments - siva

I'm a SLOW learner when it comes to technology, I guess, but I get better as I go along. My grandson helps me out on a lot of things, especially with my iPad.

Well, gauging from the number on your write, you must have been here for a long period of time, with lots of experiences to show. I for one, am learning from members including you as I respond to this discussion. I know I need to learn more as I get the "feel" of the site. I think that everything here is new for me. In general, there will always be something we can learn from as long as we keep ourselves open to new things. We are never too old to be a student again - in life. I admire you for making an in-depth research for your articles you want to contribute to the community of mylot members and probably the whole cyberspace.

I've been on myLot since September 2015, but didn't write much at all for the first two months. I couldn't figure anything out, but slowly I learned what to do. I was on another similar site for about a year, but they closed down the site. I have plenty of experience in writing, but in computer skills, not so much.
