Employers should invest in their people, too

For years that I have been an employee, and in different companies, there are only a handful that I've experienced wherein the employer invested in their people. Meaning giving them a good salary, benefits, and career path for their lives' improvement.
It's also good to invest in the technology or software to use to make work a bit easier, but it's no use when there's no good people to operate these, right?
I think when employers invest in their people, the employees will be more motivated to do great in their work and contribute positively to the company.

True. Sadly, some employers don't see it that way. They don't realize that without the efforts and dedication of their employees, they wouldn't be profitable.

@kamruzzaman5ndc I hope it doesn't reach that time until they realize the importance of their employees. It will also be bad for the people because if the business breaks down and ceases to operate, they will also lose their jobs.

@skysnap I hope that they will see that it's their people that are giving great effort that's why their business is still profitable.

What you say is true. Employees are more likely to more productive if their employer treats them like human beings and considers their needs, especially when it comes to family matters and the employee's health concerns.
That being said ... There are some workplaces where investing in the employee is a part of the “company culture”. I'm OK with that. As long as the company owners don't get at mad if I choose to leave and spread my wings elsewhere. It's good to be loyal and have a strong-bonding-type employer-employee relationship. But don't go thinking you can OWN me! It's a boss and employee. Not a master and a slave. If the owner is free to sell the company, I'm free to leave the company. Just sayin'.

So true, they should invest in human resource; give them trainings, etc. for career advancement.

Yes, a definite career path is needed so that the employees can grow within the company. I also think the idea of getting a movement in the company, whether it's a promotion or like increase in salary, also helps people to work harder and better.
