Chad Jennings of USA Today reports the news on Sunday the New York Yankees have traded their minor league pitching prospect Vicente Campos to the Arizona Diamondbacks for the services of their right handed relief pitcher Tyler Clippard.
The Yankees are currently in fourth place in the American League East standing seven games behind the Baltimore Orioles but five games out of a wild card berth during the current baseball season.
On the side of the coin, the Diamondbacks are in last place in the National League West Division 17 games behind the San Francisco Giants who are currently the division leaders.
Clippard will serve as the setup relief pitcher for the Yankees who have the services of Dellin Betances who is their current closer for the time being.
Campos had been pitching for the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Rail Riders at the time of the trade with the Diamondbacks at the time of the trade.
Clippard returns to the first team he pitched for when he made his debut in the Major Leagues with the Yankees back in 2007.

In essence Clippard is replacing Miller whom the Yanks just traded away.
