This squirrel had some bad timing, coming down the tree right in front of one of the hawks. And, that hawk did notice.

It did. The squirrel barely got away.

@srhelmer Close call then. It is nature's balance so it's natural for a hawk to nail one.

@JohnRoberts It was pretty cool too watch (they were moving too fast for me to get a photo though). The hawk nearly had the squirrel then the squirrel flung itself against the base of a tree. The hawk had to pull up to avoid running head first into the trunk.
