Day 135 Psalm 119:129 Psalm 119:129 PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. 130 The entrance of thy words gives light; it gives understanding unto the simple. 131 I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments. 132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou use to do unto those that love thy name. 133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. 134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. 135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. 136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law. There are many wonderful things in life that we want to hold onto and never forget. Those things bring joy and happiness every time we remember them. For the psalmist, God’s law gave him delight. It was more wonderful to him than anything else in his life. As such he vowed to keep God’s commandments. In keeping God’s commandments, he also asked God to deliver him from every temptation that would come his way. In doing so, he knew God’s face would shine on him and he would teach him his law. As Christians, we have God’s Word at our fingertips. When we study God’s Word, God orders our steps and promises to keep us safe from our enemy, Satan. The more we study, the more we learn, and the more we learn, the more Satan will be unable to touch us. Living a Christian life is not an easy one, which is why we need to order our steps in God’s Word, disciplining ourselves to read and study God’s Word daily. In doing so we put on our armor so that no weapon formed against us will prosper. With our armor in place, Satan must flee. Do you have your armor on? Have you ordered your steps in God’s Word? Let’s pray: Father, help me order my steps in your Word daily so that Satan will flee from me when he sees me wearing your armor. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. I try to remember the good things and learn from the bad things. That way you can move on in your life. Nice bible study.
