Look at this amazing bike. This is made from bamboo stem. The bike frame is made fully of bamboo. The bike is complete now with front and back wheels, handle, sit, sprocket and other parts that makes this bike ride-able. The joints is grip with kind of vine was furbish with varnish. I saw the bike being sold with kind other kinds of design of bike's frame in the Trade Fair and Exhibits in our province of Ilocos Sur during the festival or fiesta. With the popularity biking now, if you cannot yet find the sum of money for carbon-fiber bike, try this one.

I got to try and rode that bike in our bike festival here two years ago. The owner to my surprise is actually a foreign looking man. White. But he speaks our language pretty well. Had a good chat with him too. But I wouldn't exchange my carbon bike for that one. It's extremely heavy!

Is the bamboo frame durable? How long can it last?

@ilocosboy I saw it featured in TV one time; and it looked beautiful! Also it is a good way to promote our local bamboo.

I come from Bamboo Town in China and in our local museum, I saw a bamboo bicycle on display. I think that it is a good idea to use bamboo as material for making a bicycle, which would save a lot more materials and is more environmental to us. Right now it is not in mass production, but only a sample for show. I do hope that someday it would be put to practical use.

maybe its the market, only few want to have this frame. And those who buy are not really for biking purpose but for display in their house.
