Ever since my back surgery in 2014 I have had a fear of falling and not being able to get back up. The fear was mostly of falling down stairs or slipping on ice.
Yesterday the kids and I were headed downtown to the kids area of our local festival. I generally walk pretty quickly and I was pulling the wagon with 2 kids. My flip flop ended up catching on a raised part of the sidewalk and I went down, hard.
I scraped my knee pretty good, but the worst part of my injury ended up being my elbow. Some nice people offered me ice and a glass of water while I gathered myself.
I ended up spending 5 hours at the urgent care later that afternoon. So far just a sling, but I do have an appointment on Friday with an orthopedist. For now, I am trying to get by with the use of one arm. Not fun, but the girls have helped. Hopefully it heals quickly.

That's it. We have to ban flipflops. I thought they were only dangerous for riding bicycles, turns out you can't walk quickly safely either. In a seriousness hope you heal quickly.

@Morethanamom I stopped wearing them a long time ago. They're just to easy to slip on and go.

I really shouldn't wear them to begin with. They offer no support. I guess I will have to suck it up and wear my sneakers.

I hope so too. I feel pretty much useless. At least the girls are home to help.

I had a disk removed from my back after it started causing nerve damage.
