President Obama – please let us decide for ourselves whom to vote for…

I’m getting really tired of President Obama telling us whom we should and should not vote for, who is fit to be President and who isn't, and whom the Republican Party should support and not support. I thought this was America, where we promote life, liberty and the right to make our own choices.
Obviously, Obama is backing Hillary. They’ve come to a mutually beneficial agreement. He's not bothered by her long, continuous trail of lying and corruption as long as she praises and continues his legacy.
Both candidates, Clinton and Trump, stink - differently but equally. Clinton continues to lie while rabidly avoiding the press. Trump, who loves the press, has turned into a full-blown whack job, committing political suicide and apparently trying to take the entire Republican Party down with him.
This political season started out rather interestingly and certainly unusually. Now it’s turned into an absolute nightmare. Things have gotten uglier than I could have imagined. The media is vile beyond tolerance. Our choices are horrid and many, including myself, are choosing not to vote. No matter who wins the vote in November, things are looking bleak for many years to come.

@jstory07 @LindaCPearson Nice to know I'm not the only one bothered by any of this. Like when Obama said:"It's not an option, you gotta vote for Hillary." Like that doesn't sound maniplative at all. And as a guy who's read and researched Biblical End Time Prophecies, pardon me if this rubs me the wrong way... But Trump's not any bettrt, as it feels like he's in on this gig of getting Hillary into office. And yet if he wins... Ugh, good buy U.S. economy as we know it, and Hello new adversaries of the world.

Exactly. No one should try to tell anyone what to do or whom to vote for.

For many years they really didn't like eachi other. I think as Obama's term is coming to an end, he wants his legacy protected and she needs his support in the election, so they decided to team up to get what they each want.

Obama should be tried for treasonous behavior. After all, he's essentially ripping up the constitution to preserve his legacy. Denying people right to vote by telling them how to vote is certainly being against what the country stands for.
I vote for a month in the stockade.

@LindaCPearson I'm happy that you like them! :)
I have tons of ideas for the government and they would have to be enforced by the people, since it restricts power and the ability for them to benefit from being in office (no more career politicians). Penalties for failing to work (if congress wants to only work 3 days a week, they are paying the system out of their own pockets on the days they aren't working (weekends are of course free days).
And no one can use the Robin Hood example to raise taxes because stealing from the rich (the people benefiting from the taxes and the politicians) and giving to the poor (the people that were being taxed unfairly) is a reverse of what politicians do now. People just fail to understand what's really being done. A real modern day Robin Hood would steal from the government and give back to the taxpayers (not those on welfare) being taxed unfairly.

Trump is the lesser of two evil by virtue of the Supreme Court. With Clinton, the court will be overwhelmingly stacked with liberals for a generation and then see how long the 2nd Amendment lasts and freedom of speech will be interpreted as freedom to only praise liberalism and ruling in favor of persecuting anyone standing against the liberal agenda and your extra bedroom will be appropriated to house an immigrant. Sounds whack but think about it....did you ever think men (transgendered still possess the male member and those feeling their feminine at the moment) would be allowed to use the ladies' room and those opposed are vilified?

I do believe Trump is the lesser of two evils but really acting frightening scary these days. I have tried hard to give him the benefit of the doubt but he's making it really difficult to do.

@JohnRoberts The thought that the Clintons will get another 4-8 years in the White House nauseates me. They so don't deserve it. They are as corrupt as they come. I can't understand what Trump is trying to do. It looks like he's purposely trying to destroy both himself and the GOP. No one can stop him, not Manafort and not his kids. On the outside, it appears absolutely nuts.

There's nothing new or unusual about the current President supporting the nominee of his party, although some younger people may not remember this happening since in the last "open" Presidential election none of the Republicans wanted the endorsement of the extremely unpopular George W. Bush at the end of his second term. While it's true that President Obama has been a bit more harsh than normal in his criticism of Donald Trump, let's face it, Donald is no "normal" candidate. Since, agree with him or not, we all have to admit he knows what the job of POTUS entails so I can totally understand his concern over somebody who is such a loose cannon being put in that position.
I really must respectfully but totally disagree with you when you say both candidates stink differently but equally; they're not even remotely close to being equal. Some people hate Hillary and have for years and I guess that's to be expected given the way the media has always treated her, especially compared to how they've been fawning over Donald for the past 14 months but I don't think anyone could say with a straight face they fear she'd start a nuclear war over some trivial and maybe even imagined slight. Nobody can deny that she knows the ropes, knows geography and foreign policy. Donald is a hater and I honestly think he's only doing this for some kind of a cheap thrill.

I also respectfully but totally disagree with what you've said. I heard something the other day on the news. I didn't catch who said it, one of the analysts/pundits, but it sums up why I so intensely dislike Clinton - "she lies for a living." I honestly believe she doesn't give a darn about the US or its people or the poor or the minorities, only her own self-serving goals. The same goes for hubby Bill. There is a reason Hillary avoids the press like the plague - she's terrified she'll be asked questions that she hasn't totally rehearsed answering and that isn't on the teleprompter.

Even if they don't believe Obama, Trump is acting mighty weird these days. He could have won this election but he's really ruining his chances now.
