Another busy day, at month's end, leaving me no time to write up more than this diary page for Mylot. I did a lot more packing for the epic move to Preston in just over a week now. I followed that with my last regular attendance of a meeting of The North West Burlesque Society, with a talk by extraordinary performer Thelma Von-Bon-Bon, who described how her career was put on a long hiatus after a serious injury while using a unicycle – actually a lot more serious than it sounds given her dependency on her cabaret show work. She still has metal pins in her arm, and even uses a metal detector in her act to draw attention to it. After the very relaxed presentation at the Ape & Apple inn, in Manchester city centre, I called in a pub called Bar Fringe for a drink and got some food before coming home to an early night.
