Ian Rapoport reports the news on Wednesday the Dallas Cowboys are speaking to former Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Nick Foles to join their team. The Cowboys are in need of a backup quarterback since Kellen Moore has a fractured fibula injury that happened on Tuesday which will require surgery that will keep him out of the field for a period of three to four months, Foles is one of the candidates to serve as the backup quarterback to Tony Romo during the 2016 football season. Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones mentioned the other option is to make a trade with other teams in the National Football League to acquire another quarterback if they cannot sign Foles to a contract. Foles was released by the Los Angeles Rams on July 27, 2016. If Foles signs a contract with the Dallas Cowboys, he will branded a traitor by Philadelphia Eagle fans since Foles was a member of their team from 2012-2014.

The Cowboys need someone to fill the position and Foles needs a job.

You are correct since Tony Romo is not a young man anymore.
