These pop ups are making me mad

Today I am mylotting on my computer. My daughter is out with the yard sale and my son is on the playstation so for once right now I have the computer to myself.
Every few minutes when I am clicking to comment on something up pops another page that directs me away from where I was trying to comment. Then when I click back it takes me back to the mylot homepage.
Mylotting on my computer is a lot faster and I am trying to hack at these notifications I am behind on. I am about to give up on my computer and go back to mylotting on my ipod where I do not have this pop up problem.
I cannot figure out how to get rid of the pop ups on here.

What I am getting is that page that talks about a virus....sometimes it will open in a new window, but sometimes it takes over the window I am in.....and just when I am about to finish up my comment.

I've never noticed them before I'm wondering if the higher antivirus protection I had blocked them then.
