Rotoworld reports the news on Friday the Chicago Cubs have activated from the 15 day disabled list outfielder Jorge Soler. Soler had been sent to the 15 day disabled list on June 7 after he suffered a strain of his left hamstring on June 6 during a baseball game versus the Philadelphia Phillies. Soler had played nine games for the Tennessee Smokies which is the AA minor league team of the Cubs and two games for the Iowa Cubs which is their AAA minor league team on a rehab assignment. Cubs manager Joe Maddon will have Soler play in the designated hitter role on Friday at the O.co Coliseum when the Oakland Athletics host the Cubs for a three game series that begins on Friday.

That was a long 15 days. I hope he's completely healed from his injury.

Now that Soler is back, Coughlin's playing time will be reduced.

That is true since Soler is the better player on the roster.
