Too cold to stay up.

It is time for me to go to bed. Besides wanting to be rested for the visit of my nephew who will come tomorrow at 10 A.M., it is much too cold to stay at the dining room. Truth be said, I turned off the heater a long time ago, thinking that I would retire sooner. Yet, I am still here and my feet are frozen. I dream of my electric blanket in my bed. I turned it on a while ago and I bet my bed is a cozy nest. Good night, dear friends.

Though I would not want such a harsh climate but coming from a country where summer is primarily the season 9 out of 12 months (I mean even during rainy season and winter), makes your description sounds good.
