Thistle

I saw this along one of the trails this morning and figured I would get a picture of it. It's very thorny. But, it has some pretty flowers.

Thistle is sort of an annoying weed because of the thorns.

Way back when I was in high school (many, many years ago), there was a movement to make thistle our senior class flower. It lost out to white rose by two votes. I personally think the results were rigged.
