Big Bird in a Tree

I saw this one hanging out on a tree branch, looking over the marsh area. I was able to get the photo without it seeing me.

There were a couple that used to have a nest in the tree up the street from my parents' old house. Huge nest.

Over the marsh. . .he looks like a fisherman bird, doesn't he? He has one of those beaks that could nail a fish. Are you walking distance of the marsh? We used to have one across the street and down a little bit when I lived in a little town called Suisun. We used to love to go walking there. Great picture, Steve.

I walk the trails through the park. Depending on how much time I have, I could easily walk two miles without walking the same path twice. About 10 minutes up the road is Horicon Marsh, which is roughly 32,000 acres. I plan on taking the kids there before school starts.
