Sometime ago a friend of my was invited by his high school buddy to apply for a post in the IT department for a construction company where he worked. This was after they were given a chance to refer a friend after the post was left vacant following the death of a colleague. So since he felt that his friend qualified for the post,he informed him of the opportunity arising that they could work together.
So my friend was invited for an interview and the head of the IT tasked into removing the password that the fallen colleague was using since nobody could access the computer and all the IT guys in the company could not figure out how to do it.But my friend manages to remove the password and so he was okay to start the job.Since it was his first day,he was taken through his duties and some staff already started complementing him as being a first learner.
But come in the evening, the head of IT called him and told him not to report to work the following day.It was to later emerge that he wanted the post for a family member. The other staff members knew that this was unfair but nothing they could with the head over them with his wicked move.

He should have created a new password word and should have left. Let the family member who wanted the post should have removed it as it was his duty.
These types things happen all over the world. If people don't react they take advantage of it.
