Do you like re-reading a book?

Good day to everyone! I am very thankful this day that classes are suspended. Actually, I have been praying for it since yesterday because I have to do many things and I want to finish it soon. God is good all the time. I would start this discussion with what I am currently doing. I have been re-reading a book and that is "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. That is the first book I fall in love with and it will always be the top 1 in my heart. So, if someone will ask me a question if I re-read a book, my answer will be a resounding yes. I re-read it for many reasons. First, I love it because it inspires me to follow my dreams and achieve it. Second, I admire the writing style of the author. Third, I would like to re-read it to look for more ideas in the book that I might not notice the first time I read about it. If we like a song, we love to listen to it every time, if the taste of food is good, we love to eat it again, if a place is wonderful, we visit it more than once. When it comes to a good book, do you re-read it?

Yes I like reading a book because you always pick up something you missed the first go round :) The Bible is one book I enjoy re-reading over and over. I always get something new and encouraging.

@annierose It sure does, to add to what you've said: The Bible also gives us comfort and hope. Re-reading the Bible regularly is like a pile of nails on a table. With a magnet in hand we drag that magnet over that pile of nails. The magnet only picks up so many nails at a time, so once we brush those nails off the magnet we once again drag the magnet over that pile of nails until there are no more, then we start all over with a new pile of nails. Re-reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is like that. Each chapter and verse of each Bible book is like an individual nail or bolt. When we go back overover the Bible or have a regular schedule for reading the same verses over the years we always pick up a fresh viewpoint of what God is trying to tell us :)

It is about a boy named Santiago who followed his Personal Legend. I can relate on him since I love to travel too. Just like me he is also stubborn. He will do anything just to achieve his dream.

@annaroselock I love books about fantasies and adventures. I love inspirational books too. Ever since I was a kid, books always become a distraction whenever I am doing household chores in the house. I still remember how my mom will nag on me whenever she saw I did not finish household chores because I was reading something.

@annierose I must admit I haven't read anything for months but I used to be such a bookworm when I was younger and would read every day! My favourite books were mainly fiction about fame, mystery and magic. I would collect a whole series of books. Sometimes I may read them every now and again even though they're for a younger audience but they are a good read and it takes me back to my childhood How about you?

I will re-read a book occasionally, but only from a select few authors. Trying to read new authors in the same genre shows me how hard it must be to become an accredited author with a bestseller list to your name...
