A man should not cry / myLot

There is always a belief here in my country that a man should not cry even when faced with whatever hard situations.This is generally to mean men are supposed to be stronger for their women who are the weaker lot. Even young boys who are found crying will be challenged to stop crying as it is embarrassing for a man to show his tears but for the girls,no problem if they cry. Is it the same for your country?

Even in our country this way. There are many things I want to fix it but unfortunately not in my hands

Too bad crying for a man is seen as an embarrassment yet they at times become emotional over something.

I think men who cry show how strong they are,some cry because they are passionate about something.Italian foorball commentators do cry

I dont agree with that men should not cry - they should show emotions - crying is a sincere emotion

It remembers me a song I listened to many years ago. Miguel Bosé sang a song called "Los chicos no lloran" (The boys don't cry). In my opinion, to cry or not is not a symbol of machoman. Men also have feelings, they are human too, not only women. The get affected by problems as well as women and it should be something normal to cry. What I mean is that you are more macho if you cry less. And Jesus also cryed and was a man. I don't want to heart anybody, but I think that it's only a stupid tradition.
