I woke up with all this crusts in my eyes that I could hardly open it, I knew right away that this is viral conjunctivitis or in layman's term "sore eyes" I had it before so it's now a milder form since I already have some kind of immunity but it still bothers me, It starts in one eye and gradually goes to the other, it's interfering with my online work and Mylotting lol!
, I feel like a car with only one head light
You have sore eyes from where you are and how do you deal with it?

@louievill i just think it's one of those viruses that's difficult to NOT spread! We just have such a natural tendency to rub or touch our eyes with our hands or fingers without even thinking about, not realizing how many germs we have on our hands. In my high school and university days, it seemed like I got conjunctivitis all the time, but it has actually been many, many years since I've last caught it. So, that means either I'm doing a really good job of keeping my hands clean, or it's just not as bad of a virus here as people think!

I will and always do, and thanks much for the care but sore eyes is like common cold, I'm not so sure but I read somewhere that the causative agent is the same or similar in the viral form so the best thing to do is make the body strong.

I hope so too, it's more painful the first time since the body does not know how to fight it yet when it encounters the virus for the first time.

Yeah.I've had it 3 times.I used to put antibiotic but I discovered putting cold ice is more effective.Last time I had it was in 2012 . It disappeared within 24 hours just by cold compress

Antibiotics is only effective for secondary bacterial infection but is of no use since the condition is viral in nature, next time I might try ice

I am doctor dependent I used eyedrops prescribed by doctor before. But I have cousins who use home remedies like boiling chili leaves, let it cool, remove the leaves and wash your eyes using it.
Take note, chili LEAVES not fruits or.... you know what's next

All remedies would be useless cure if it is not anti viral or adenovirus specific, maybe give some relief, get redness and swelling out or improve vision by cleaning and melting the eye crusts. I just rested and took vitamin C and let my body's natural defense get rid of it while cleaning my eyes with sterile face towel and luke warm water @ModernDayWriter (3318)

oh yes I understand, my kids had it too, but all the eye drops are really just to ease the pain and to clean the eyes, it's viral so nothing much we could do but let it run the course till my body defeats it, but I do agree with you, it's such a miserable condition lol!

Eye drops or honey regularly! Be careful this virus is contagious and spreads through touch

I noticed that it's common when it's hot and dusty or after a typhoon together with other diseases like colds, flu and dengue
