Jesse Borek reports the news on Wednesday the Toronto Blue Jays have placed outfielder Jose Bautista on the 15 day disabled list with a lower leg injury. Bautista injured his left knee on Tuesday during the game versus the Tampa Bay Rays. The injury is a sprain which should not keep him out of the lineup for an extended period of time. The Blue Jays have called up from their AAA minor league team the Buffalo Bisons outfielder Junior Lake to replace Bautista on their 25 man active roster. The Blue Jays are currently tied with the Baltimore Orioles in the American League East Division which is one reason the Blue Jays are hoping that Bautista will be able to return to the starting lineup soon.

This Bautista's second trip to the DL. This really hurts the Jays who already lost Pillar.

I know what you mean since the Blue Jays are the defending East Division champions.
