Insanity, According to Albert Einstein

Yes, is was Albert Einstein who once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
I have to agree with him on that.
I think this is especially true with marriage mates. I know of a couple who constantly argue about the same things over and over again. She has her point of view and he has his, but arguing is not solving the situations that are ruining their marriage.
Instead of arguing, why not sit down and calmly discuss all the various options and decide what can be done by each person to create a better understanding of each situation. Then, both parties need to compromise their view so that the arguments will never come up again.
This way of settling a long term situation works with other matters too.
For instance, have you tried the same method of dieting over and over and gotten the same results, which were not what you wanted?
Or is there a situation at work that keeps coming up and no one will agree on what needs to be done to clear up the matter?
If what a person is doing about any complicated situation is NOT working, then that person needs to try something different. Analyze the situation and have a calm discussion with all who are involved and work together to solve the problem. Complaining doesn’t work. There must be an honest discussion with all persons involved, so that each person has his view thoroughly understood. Only then, can a solution be found.
What do you think?

Albert is spelled wrong in your title. I hope you don't mind my pointing that out, you can delete this comment.

Good for you. If more people would use that advice, there wouldn't be so many divorces, I'm sure.

Some people are so entrenched in their beliefs or habits that they refuse to change. I am not one of them however, I try something and if it isn't working I try something else.
