What type of fruit did Eve give her husband to eat?

Was the fruit that Adam and Eve partook of, for them to eat? What have many been taught that the fruit was? (Genesis 3:1-6) What lesson can be learned from the account in the Bible book of Genesis chapter 3:1-6?

That's exactly right. There is no mention of an apple or even a description of some type of fruit. Many people believe that Adam and Eve ate an apple. I did to at one time until someone showed me otherwise.

I once heard that it was a pomegranate.
Though I'm guessing it was a fruit we've never heard of before and wouldn't see again, since Eden was cut off after Adam and Eve sinned.
I think it's neat that, one day, we'll be allowed to eat from the Tree of Life. (Revelation 2:7; Revelation 22:1-2)
