Well I am sitting here all alone. The house is eerily quite. Today is the first day of school. My baby starts the fifth grade today. This will be her last year of elementary school. Man, where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday, she was in Kindergarten. She was very excited this morning to go back and be with her friends. I still can not believe that next year she will be in middle school. It doesn't seem real. I am happy though that she is finally happy to go back because for weeks now she did not want to. She wanted to stay at home with me. Let's just hope this is the best year yet.

My babies have been grownups for quite awhile now. Oh boy when they had both moved out, I had the empty nest syndrome so bad. I still miss having kids coming and going sometimes. You almost hear the echoes of their voices sometimes. Still turn around in the grocery store when someone hollers "Mom."
I wish a great school year for your child, and lots of happy times. So many lessons to learn, and not just the academic ones, sigh.

@CinnamnonGrl I could only imagine what you went through. I miss her so bad today. I got use to her being home with me. I know what you mean, I got to the store without her and a kid says mom and I automatically turn around! LOL! Thank you, I hope see has a great year also.
