Thomas Harding reports the news on Friday the Colorado Rockies have placed first baseman Mark Reynolds on the 15 day disabled list with a broken bone in his left hand.
Reynolds injured his left wrist during the Rockies 12-9 win over the Texas Rangers on Thursday in Arlington Texas.
Reynold will have surgery on his broken left hand that will likely sideline him for the remainder of the current baseball season.
The Rockies have promoted from their AAA minor league team the Albuquerque Isotopes first baseman and outfielder Ben Paulsen to replace Reynolds on the Rockies 25 man active roster on Friday.
Paulsen will be the replacement first baseman of the Rockies for the rest of the currrent baseball season.

Baseball players that are in the minor leagues get on the job training to prepare them to play in the Major Leagues.
