When I was younger my mom scraped up the money to pay for me to take piano lessons. My older brother was never taught. He learned to play by ear and plays like a professional. Piano and organ.

The piano in my childhood home was actually given to us. Nobody in the house knew how to play but my mother didn't want to turn down a second hand piano! She knew it had value!
