Well, it’s all over but the shouting. My team LOST, I’m sorry to say. We just couldn’t get any really good cards. However, we had a GREAT time. And food galore. Everyone brought something and the lady of the house where we were, went all out preparing dips and potato salad and baked bar-b-cue chicken and this wonderful tomato and mozzarella balls with basil and I’m not sure what all, but it was delicious. We played while we ate and drank, (no alcohol) but she had several things to choose from. I chose iced tea which a peach flavor. It was delicious. I got home about 9:30. We started at 4pm with snacks and then took a break for the chicken and potato salad, etc. It was a FUN evening and we’re going to do it again soon, probably at my house. Good players, all, so each game was challenging. That’s the way I like it. It’s nice to win, but even if we didn’t, it was still a very enjoyable evening. Picture by Pixabay

Do you play any card games? Some games are very easy to learn. Others are more difficult.

It's been such a long time since I've gotten together with friends or family for a good game of cards and a night of fellowship! Those sure were some fun times we used to have playing cards! Looking back now, I can't even remember who won or lost all those times, but I'll never forget all the fun we had together as a group!

@IreneVincent Although I do remember us getting into some pretty heated card tournaments before, we never let it interfere with friendships and fun!

That's right! Having fun was what it was all about. It didn't matter who won or who lost, playing cards.

Just the fun of playing cads and having good food makes it all worth it.

I have never heard of a Spades tournament, but I don't even own a deck of cards let alone play

I grew up playing cards at home. I can play just about any game you can name. The problem usually is trying to find someone else to play. Some games require a minimum of four people.
